St Geezy St Geezy

Hi,

Well it happened I'm going to St George... gulp

Am I ready for the city again I don't know. Looks like this will be my last area right in time for the summer. 42 degrees celcius is the average there oh no. I'm excited though cause now there is a much better chance to go see the Clarks sealed in the Temple. This is going to be great though. Every transfer just means more to learn. I feel lucky cause I have got to know so many places in Utah and meet so many people. I have learned a lot so far I love this place.

90 Days of Sobriety

Hey,

In our area we spent time at a couple rehabs helping people there. It has been great and I really love the people there. They are taking the steps to change and that is respectable. The program they go through last 90 days. In 90 days they can turn the greatest weakness into a steadfast and immovable strength. 90 days is a long time. You can do a lot can't you? I was thinking about the people who i have seen come and go. 90 days can change your life.

I'm at my 21 month mark. That means 3 months or 90 days till I return home... I want these last 90 to be a sprint and a strong finish. I'm  still going to do so much good.

Fell In A Well

Hey,

Interesting things going on this week. We were on our way out of McDonalds and a lady tells us that a boy has been run over. She said to go see if he needs a blessing. We went on over and he was still under the truck. It was a Ford F350 and he was still under it. The Dad came up to ask and asked if we could give him a blessing. We went into the ambulance with him and gave him one. He was a 10 year old and he was in bad shape. We hadn't heard anything about his condition so we are praying the little guy is okay. It was a experience for sure I hope he is okay though.

We are getting things going in our new area. Elder Manuma is awesome. I'm a big fan.

Hi,
Hey Quick note. New area MT Pleasant North is really starting to work out. My Comp Is Elder Manuma from Hawaii. He is pure Polynesian and we get along great. He was originally called to New Zealand Samoan speaking but due to visa issues he has been reassigned to St George. He is happy to serve and it is great going through the whole training process with him. He has no need to be trained cause he is powerful and good to go. I really rely on him and great things are happening.

Manti has the Whitest Benches

Hi,

Just a quick not of something aweome that we got to do as a district last week for preporation day. The Manti Temple is closed for 2 weeks and one of the Elders in our district arranged so that we could help clean the Temple then get... THE GRAND TOUR!

President Uchtdorf  spoke there on sunday and we asked the people who attended if they noticed how white and clean the benches were. It was so fun we got to go to the top and see everything. That is by far my favorite Temple and the 5th time I have been there.

Rubix Cube

Hi,

This was a week of victory. You may ask why and that is cause I learned how to do a Rubix Cube. This was one of those things I just accepted that I would never be able to conquer and only asians would be able to do in my eyes. It took me a week but I can now solve one in a little under 3 minutes!

I feel like my mission to a point has resembled an attempted Rubix Cube... or maybe just my life for that matter. At first a mission looks really complicated and impossible to solve on your own. Slowly you learn how things work and where red cubes go blue cubes ect. It takes time and effort but ounce you understand how things work with the help of others guiding you along it doesn't seem so bad. The mission is really flying by and I'm learning how to solve my mission better and with more ease. Still hard work but at least I'm confident in the Spirit now. Still not perfect either but I recognize the need for improvement and that process will take my whole life to be perfect example of Christ.

Elder Bautista and I get along great. I have an excuse to go to Sweden now. He longboards to and just on that alone we are great friends. Also he is a great teacher. We teach in unity and really get the job done.

Cows

Hi,

Elder Bautista and I finally have this area down. The area has lots of potential. We are going to make it grow. We talked to President and the goal is to split the area. We have quite a few people we are seeing and some are getting Baptized in the next two weeks. The past 2 weeks has flown by and lots is happening. I'm getting up to my 18th month mark and that is really scaring me! I honestly don't want it to end.

On our way from Moroni to Mt Pleasant we almost got in a car accident. I was driving the speed limit (55mph) and at the very last second I saw some black cows crossing the road. I slammed on the brakes and pulled of on the shoulder just in time. There was another car that did the same thing just before we got there. I pulled off behind them. Just as we did a car coming in the opposite direction didn't slow down and slammed through 2 cows! The sound when something like this VROOOMMM...PLUUUISHHHCK!!! Elder Bautista and I looked at eachother and couldn't believe what we saw. The lady in the car was okay but the car was destroyed. It was hard not to laugh cause just a minute before we were talking about how fun it would be to go cow tipping... umm this beat it hands down haha. It was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. The one cow survived and the other didn't do so hot, blood everywhere it was a scene. we went over to take a picture of the injured cow laying on the side of the road and it stood up! The one lady asked if it was okay to which Elder Bautista responed "it's Pooping!" I was like woah it scared the poop out of him.  The injured cow didn't sound so happy. It was amazing and everyone was okay except for the one cow. If you want some ground beef it should be on the way.

anyways that is the life here right now. We are going to go play volleyball here in a bit with some non members wish us luck. Hopefully we wont beat them so bad they don't want to talk to us...

Elder Buatista and dme are opening up a new zone and that has us sent on up to Mount Pleasant. It is in Sanpete county and I have served on the other end of it already. That was Gunnison.

Well Elder Bautista and I get along and the area has been fun to learn together. I will have a better letter next week. All is well here.

Beside the Beach even if the cops are there to

Hey,

Aliright so round three in the Kaibab area and with a new twist I'm
going to be by the Beach. Elder Beach that is. He is from Atlanta
Georgia but was born in Cali. So far we get along real well. That is a
really good thing to cause this area is getting tougher and tougher.
This place slows down lots in the winter and every door in our area
has been knocked... Question is what do you do when this happens?
Answer is you enlist the help of the members. That is what Elder
Beach, Elder Ware, Elder Harlan, And I are all going to do together.
When we run inot a block like this it maenas it's time to get
creative. Firesides, teaching sundays lessons, Asking members for
refferals are going to be all part of the game and pretty much
anything else we can think of. I'm excited though if there is anyone
who can make this work its all of us Kanab missionaries. Pray for our
success please! We are due for some miracles.

Elder Beach has been out just about as long as I have just barely
less. He is 23 and a really good teacher. Lots more then he gives
himself credit for anyways. He likes Star wars and apparently that is
all I need to get along with someone haha.

I decided to do a small prank to him the other day. We sometimes eat
at the Brother Cutchens house and he just so happens to be a highway
patrol police officer. I called him While Elder Beach was in the
bathroom and I asked if there was anything he could do to mess with my
new companion. Long story short we got pulled over a littler before
dinner and I got placed in cuffs and in the back of the squad car. All
for reckless driving and somewhat being lippy with the kind officer.
Elder Beach was awesome though. He said that if I was going to jail he
was coming to cause he was my comp and couldn't be seperated. I was
impresed and happy to know if this was a real situation and I wasn't
pranking hime he would totally have my back. What a friend eh!? It
ended with the officer driving us to the judges house and and then
finally spilling the beans! Elder Beach didn't know I set it up but it
was so funny when he found out. He was a way good sport about it.

This will be a good transfer!

You Stay Put

Hi,

Well it finally happened I get to stay! First time being in an area longer then three months it's pretty nice that I don't have to pack. Elder Chadsey is going and I'm getting Elder Beach. That is about all I know.

This week was good. The Clarks came and saw me which was awesome. They don't live to far so they came to visit. It is always nice to see them they are a second family to me. Sean their oldest came to. He is sort of girl crazy but to his credit he is 18. He seemed way to into the idea of more then one girl at a time. We all laughed. Anyways so nice to see all of them!

We rang in the new year with Elder Harlan and Elder Ware. For us three 2012 is going to be a huge deal. We all come home this year. Crazy eh?

I might be moving out of the Cane Beds though. President wants to move us to either Fredonia or Kanab. Either is okay though.

That was my week. We are praying for new people to teach. Our ward mission leaders are pretty awesome and we have started to really work together and make things happen.
